Located in the Spaccanapoli region of Naples, the Cappella di Santa Restituta (Santa Restituta Chapel) is over 1,700 years old, making the Cappella di Santa Restituta chapel the oldest church in Naples, and one of the oldest churches in the whole of Italy.
Christian emperor Constantine ordered the construction of this ancient church and the Cappella di Santa Restituta was built on the site of a temple to Apollo. Attractions at Naples' impressive Santa Restituta Chapel include the Baptistery of San Giovanni in Fonte, with an octagonal dome built in the 5th century, impressive early Christian mosaics and also an underground archaeological area.
